After being the title sponsor for the Formula One Singapore Grand Prix for six years, SingTel has passed the honour on to Singapore Airlines (SIA). Announcing a two-year title sponsorship, SIA has the option to extend it after. Sponsorship amount was kept confidential, but previously it was reported that SingTel forked out S$10 to 15 million a year.
This year, it will be called the 2014 Formula One Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix.
That also means, goodbye SingTel Grid Girls and maybe hello SQ girls?
