I first knew Azimah at NutriGirl 2013, when she finished second runner-up. At that time she was juggling her copywriting job and competing in bikini competitions, and she eventually realised her real passion is in fitness. “I’ve been around fitness my whole life and realising that I could never really deviate from that made the decision a lot easier,” she said.
Having been bulimic for six years and growing up in a family centred around fitness put pressure on her to “look good”. At the age of 14, “looking good” to her meant being thin, which she thought she could not really be. Thankfully she opened up her eyes to what fitness really is – it’s about FEELING GOOD and BEING HEALTHY.
