Held at Kartright Speedway today, the opening round of the Singapore Karting Championship (SKC) started off on a wet note with some slipping and sliding, before the sun came out to dry the track. The spotlight shone on the Cadet category with 15 young drivers – a record entry for this class in the history of the SKC – putting up a competitive and exciting battle for all present.
Reigning national karting Cadet champion Alex Brown remained calm to take the win in the final, giving him a good start to his title defence. Singaporeans Ethan Tan and Dominic Quek worked hard to achieve their first podium finish in the SKC, taking second and third place respectively.
